Update from the Smooth News!

Stay smooth(ie) with raspberries and green tea!

Our awesome and incredible CEO has a mantra that every Simpie has committed to memory: If you wouldn't eat it, you probabaly shouldn't be putting it on your skin! Around here, we live it.

So, if you're thinking at all about what you put in your body, you should be giving equal consideration to what you put on it!

Two of our favorite, antioxidant loaded, awesome-for-skin ingredients are raspberries and green tea. Since summertime means an abundance of gorgeous fresh berries, it makes perfect sense that we feature our to-die-for, all-natural Raspberry Body Scrub during the summer months. Smoothness never smelled so berry delicious!Green tea is amazing for you anytime of the year, and our uber popular Green Tea Facial Scrub delivers amazing looking and feeling skin all year round.

So being that we're fans of all things smooth it's only fitting that we give you a great way to incorporate two of our favorite ingredients into a refreshing summertime smoothie! Here's a great one that uses (you guessed it) raspberries and green tea. Good for you on the inside and good for you on the outside!

Stay Smooth(ie)!

Acne? It could be what you're putting on your skin!

According to the American Academy of Dermatology 40 to 50 million Americans at any given time are suffering from acne. Nearly 85% of people have acne at some point in their life and the total direct cost associated with the treatment of acne exceeded $2.2 BILLION in 2004. That's a lot of cash.

Debate rages over whether diet, heredity, stress or even caffeine have anything to do with it. But one thing that can definitely cause a breakout is putting something on your face that will clog your pores! Cocoa butter, shea butter, petrolatum or coconut oil are all comedogenic (pore clogging) ingredients.

The July issue of Glamour magazine recommends using products that do not contain comedogenic ingredients. Guess what falls into this category? Simple Sugars Green Tea with Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub. Green Tea has antiinflammatory benefits and Tea Tree Oil is a natural remedy for acne. But the best part of using our all-nautral Green Tea with Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub is how good your skin will feel afterwards - not dry and scaly, but super soft and smooth.
