Mother's Day is May 11th. Making it smooth is simple!

Mother's Day is coming up fast. Next Sunday, May 11th is the day set aside for all of us to honor the woman that brought us into this world or any mom that we love and admire.

If anyone deserves some smoothness it's the moms out there. After all motherhood is one of the roughest jobs there is! Luckily, Simple Sugars has the perfect gift for just about every mom out there. And because we're all about making things simple, here's our guide to buying the perfect Mother's Day gift:

The First-time Mom: Maybe she's your bestie, your co-worker, your sister-in-law or Princess Kate, but it's her first ever Mother's Day and it should be made extra special for her! First of all, we can't very well expect the baby to come up with something great right?! (sometimes they come through with an extra-long nap...) And if she's got a man, expecting him to get it right is even more of a longshot (although Prince William probably has an island or something in mind) So yes, you need to take responsibility for letting her know just how awesome she is!

The first year of motherhood is ridiculously hard. Basically it's being exhausted all the time, being constantly overwhelmed with discovering all of the things no one ever tells you about, having your list of responsibilities careen off the charts and having the pressure of losing the "baby weight" when all you want to do is get some sleep! Ok - on second thought -hard might be the biggest understatement ever. Enough said. This woman deserves the sun and the moon, but get her the Mother's Day Sampler. It's a great alternative. Oh, and if you want to be super-cute about it? Sign the card from the baby :) NOTE: If you are surrogate shopping for the father of said baby? No splurge is too great. Get the Super Smooth Basket

The Empty Nest Mom: She's hoed the long road, spent the sleepness nights, done the soccer-mom-carpool thing and slept with one eye open til hearing the key in the lock. But now the kids are off on their own making lives and decisions for themselves. It's a happy/sad time for a mom. It's happy because now, maybe for the first time ever, she gets to take some time for herself. It's sad because, well as hard as they were, she misses the good old days. This woman needs to know she's important and appreciated now more than ever! Send her a gift that lets her pamper herself -remember she actually has time to shower now - and reminds her how special you think she is. The Mother's Day Sampler is perfect.

The Working Mom: Basically you can just re-read the above description of the First-Time Mom but throw in homework and school projects and worrying about, well EVERYTHING and wondering why someone doesn't invent chicken that cooks itself and lots and lots of driving oh AND WORK DEADLINES and the stupid boss that wants to know why your kid is "always" sick and well you get the picture....THIS woman deserves the sun, the moon, the stars AND a luxury vacation but since she has no time for any of that get her the Super Smooth Basket. AND flowers. AND a $6 card. Seriously.

The Stay-at-Home Mom: Reread above but substitute the work deadlines and stupid boss with the never-ending stress of being expected to sign up and show up for every single thing (well because after all you don't "work")! And yes, these woman deserve the sun, the moon, the stars AND a luxury vacation, which they also don't have time for because they have a PTO meeting, a board meeting and a hoagie sale to organize. Super Smooth Basket for sure.

The Single Mom: There really is no gift significant enough for this mom who sacrifices constantly. Get her all of these and don't stop hugging her for the whole day.

The not-so-great Mom: Well, let's just say that this mom is the one that you spend hours trying to find the right card for. Yes, she did bring you into this world and you're sure grateful for that. But the part about "always there for me" and "being the kind of mom I want to be"...well, not so much. But, she's your mom and you do have an obligation here...you don't want to spend a ton of cash (you'll resent it, and you know it)...and she has feet...the pedi-in-a box is the perfect solution!

See? Simple. Now place your order and make it a smooth mother's day for someone you love!
